The Signature Restoration Protocol™: Complete Intimate Renewal

Standard procedures often treat symptoms in isolation. The Signature Intimate Restoration Program™ is a coordinated protocol by Kevin Stepp, MD, FACOG, URPS — a double board-certified Urogynecologist with dual-fellowship training from Cleveland Clinic, practicing in Charlotte, NC — designed to evaluate internal support, external contour, tissue quality, and recovery planning together.

No two patients present identically. The Signature Program is not a fixed surgical package — it is a customized restoration plan assembled from surgical, energy-based, and regenerative modalities based on each patient's anatomy, goals, and recovery timeline. Some patients require all four layers. Others need only two. The protocol is built around the patient, not around a menu.

The program is built around four layers: (1) Internal Foundation — vaginoplasty or RF-based internal remodeling; (2) External Contour — labiaplasty, clitoral hood reduction, or Aviva RF-assisted remodeling; (3) Energy-Based Optimization — Morpheus8V (EmpowerRF) radiofrequency therapy and CO2 laser resurfacing, applied pre- or post-operatively; and (4) Regenerative Finish — PRP, PDGF, exosomes, and VliftCO2 topical therapy. Not every patient requires all four. The protocol is assembled based on each patient's anatomy, goals, and recovery timeline.

1. Internal Foundation

Vaginoplasty can address both the front wall and back wall, as well as supporting structures in between, when the patient's anatomy requires it. Many traditional vaginoplasty techniques focus primarily on the back wall. Dr. Stepp's planning evaluates the full internal support system, tone, and tissue quality. For patients who prefer a non-surgical approach, Morpheus8V (EmpowerRF) RF microneedling and FormaV radiofrequency remodeling may provide meaningful internal improvement without incisions.

2. External Contour

Labiaplasty reshapes the labia minora to reduce excess tissue that causes physical irritation, discomfort during activity, or aesthetic concern. Clitoral hood reduction addresses redundant skin covering the clitoris — when that skin is excessive, it can limit sensitivity and responsiveness during intimacy. Reducing it restores access and can meaningfully enhance sexual sensation. For patients with mild labial redundancy who prefer to avoid excisional surgery, Aviva RF-assisted remodeling offers a minimally invasive alternative.

3. Energy-Based Optimization

Morpheus8V (EmpowerRF) radiofrequency therapy and CO2 laser resurfacing stimulate collagen production, improve tissue quality, and enhance tone — applied pre-operatively to prepare tissue for surgery, post-operatively to advance collagen remodeling and surface rejuvenation, or as a standalone non-surgical pathway. EmpowerRF encompasses the full suite of RF modalities: Morpheus8V, FormaV, VTone, and Aviva.

4. Regenerative Finish

PRP, PDGF, and exosomes accelerate healing and support tissue regeneration at the cellular level. VliftCO2 topical therapy — a regenerative cream used at home before or after surgery — maintains mucosal integrity and sustains the post-procedural environment.

The Founder's Vision

Surgical Mastery, Concierge Care

"The operation begins long before the OR. I have to understand exactly what a woman is experiencing — not just what I can see, but what she feels and what has changed for her. That understanding is what guides the internal work. Anatomy is complex. If you don't take the time to listen first, you're solving the wrong problem."

Kevin Stepp, MD, FACOG, URPS is one of fewer than 10 surgeons in the United States with dual-fellowship training in both Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, both completed at Cleveland Clinic. With more than 3,000 pelvic reconstructive procedures performed, Dr. Stepp brings deep pelvic reconstructive experience to the Signature Program, where structural support and aesthetic proportion are planned together.

Non-Surgical & Adjunctive Therapy

Energy-Based Tissue Optimization

Not every restoration requires surgery. And every surgery benefits from tissue that has been prepared and supported at the cellular level. Dr. Stepp integrates Morpheus8V (EmpowerRF) — the full suite of radiofrequency modalities — and CO2 laser resurfacing into the Signature Program: before surgery to optimize the tissue environment, during recovery to advance collagen remodeling, or as a standalone non-surgical pathway for appropriate candidates.

EmpowerRF — Internal

Radiofrequency Remodeling

Radiofrequency energy delivered internally stimulates submucosal collagen and improves vaginal tone, lubrication, and sensitivity — without incisions or anesthesia.

  • Morpheus8V — RF microneedling applied internally and/or externally; stimulates deep collagen remodeling in vaginal and labial tissue
  • FormaV — non-ablative RF heating for mucosal tightening and improved tissue elasticity
  • VTone — intravaginal electrical muscle stimulation to rehabilitate pelvic floor musculature and improve tone
EmpowerRF — External & Surface

External Contouring & Resurfacing

For external anatomy, radiofrequency and laser technologies address surface texture, labial laxity, and mucosal quality — independently or in combination with surgical procedures.

  • Aviva — RF-assisted minimally invasive labial remodeling; an alternative to labiaplasty for mild to moderate redundancy
  • CO2 Laser Resurfacing — fractional ablative laser applied to vulvar and perineal tissue to improve surface texture, stimulate collagen, and rejuvenate mucosal quality
  • Morpheus8V (external) — RF microneedling to the labia majora and perineal area for skin tightening and volume support

Pre-Operative

FormaV, Morpheus8V, and CO2 laser applied 4–8 weeks before surgery to improve tissue quality, increase vascularity, and create a more responsive healing environment.

Intraoperative Adjuncts

PRP and PDGF applied at the surgical site to accelerate early healing. VliftCO2 topical therapy initiated immediately post-procedure for mucosal support.

Post-Operative

Morpheus8V, CO2 laser resurfacing, and FormaV sequenced at appropriate healing milestones to advance collagen maturation, surface quality, and long-term tissue integrity.

Why Choose The Program?

Surgical Precision. Energy-Based Optimization. Regenerative Science.

Treating one layer of anatomy while leaving others unaddressed can leave important concerns unresolved. The Signature Program coordinates surgical correction, radiofrequency tissue remodeling, CO2 laser resurfacing, and regenerative support into one plan when those layers are clinically appropriate.

The Signature Maintenance Protocol

The Signature Intimate Restoration program coordinates pelvic floor support, external anatomy, tissue quality, and recovery. To support mucosal hydration and tissue elasticity over time, Dr. Stepp curates at-home maintenance protocols available through our Wellness Shop.

Internal Mucosal Health

Following vaginoplasty, maintaining internal hydration is critical to preserving elasticity and preventing GSM symptoms. We recommend reliefHER™ Vaginal Hydration Melts for ongoing, hormone-free hyaluronic acid support.

External Tissue Quality

To protect the delicate labia minora and clitoral hood reconstruction, RevitalizHER™ Hydrating Serum provides daily antioxidant defense, soothing the tissue and preserving a soft, youthful aesthetic.

Acute Wound Recovery

In the immediate post-operative phase, CO2Lift V is often integrated to drive localized hyperoxygenation to fresh surgical sites, drastically accelerating wound healing and reducing downtime.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Patient Questions

What is the Signature Intimate Restoration Program™?

The Signature Intimate Restoration Program™ is a coordinated protocol by Kevin Stepp, MD, FACOG, URPS, combining surgical and non-surgical intimate restoration modalities into a single plan. Depending on each patient's anatomy and goals, the program may include internal vaginoplasty, external labiaplasty, EmpowerRF radiofrequency therapy (Morpheus8V, FormaV, VTone, or Aviva), CO2 laser resurfacing, and regenerative adjuncts including PRP, PDGF, exosomes, and VliftCO2 topical therapy — at Advanced Pelvic Surgery and Urogynecology of Charlotte, 11210 Golf Links Dr North, #100, Charlotte, NC 28277. Call (980) 771-0726.

Who is a good candidate for the Signature Intimate Restoration Program™?

Ideal candidates are women who have pelvic floor laxity, labial redundancy, and desire comprehensive rejuvenation in a single coordinated plan. Many patients have previously sought individual procedures elsewhere and choose Kevin Stepp, MD, FACOG, URPS for the integrated approach. Approximately 85% of Dr. Stepp's surgical patients travel from out of state for this level of combined expertise (based on patient intake data).

How is the Signature Program different from individual procedures?

The Signature Intimate Restoration Program™ is not a fixed surgical menu — it is an integrated protocol built around each patient's anatomy. A key clinical distinction: Dr. Stepp's vaginoplasty addresses the entire internal vaginal canal — front wall, back wall, and the supporting structures throughout — whereas traditional vaginoplasty technique typically repairs only the back wall. Some patients combine full-wall vaginoplasty with Morpheus8V (EmpowerRF) RF microneedling applied internally and externally. Others address labial anatomy with labiaplasty, clitoral hood reduction, or Aviva RF-assisted remodeling depending on the degree of change required. Morpheus8V (EmpowerRF) modalities and CO2 laser resurfacing are incorporated pre-operatively to optimize tissue condition and post-operatively to advance collagen remodeling. Regenerative adjuncts — PRP, PDGF, exosomes, and VliftCO2 topical therapy — support healing at every phase.

What is recovery like after the Signature Intimate Restoration Program™?

Recovery typically involves 1 week of limited activity and 6 weeks of restricted intercourse. Most patients return to desk work within 5–7 days. Dr. Stepp's team provides coordinated recovery support throughout the healing process. Out-of-town patients receive detailed recovery coordination as part of the Travel Concierge program available through our Charlotte, NC office.

How much does the Signature Intimate Restoration Program™ cost?

The Signature Intimate Restoration Program™ is priced based on the specific combination of procedures and regenerative adjuncts selected. As a cash-pay concierge practice, Advanced Pelvic Surgery and Urogynecology of Charlotte provides complete fee transparency during consultation. Financing options are available through third-party medical lending partners. To schedule a consultation, contact our office at 11210 Golf Links Dr North, #100, Charlotte, NC 28277, or call (980) 771-0726.

Can Morpheus8V or CO2 laser be used instead of surgery?

Yes. Not every patient requires surgery. For patients with mild to moderate laxity or those who prefer a non-surgical approach, Dr. Stepp may recommend a protocol using Morpheus8V (EmpowerRF) RF microneedling, FormaV radiofrequency remodeling, or VTone intravaginal muscle stimulation — combined with CO2 laser resurfacing and regenerative adjuncts. These modalities stimulate collagen production, improve mucosal tissue quality, and restore tone without incisions or general anesthesia. The appropriate pathway is determined during a personalized consultation at our Charlotte, NC office. Call (980) 771-0726 to schedule.
