“Rare Expertise, Exceptional Outcome for Complex Surgery. I cannot express enough gratitude to Dr. Stepp and his incredible team. My case was far from straightforward: as a long-term paraplegic patient with spinal cord vascular malformation and chronic urinary retention, I was facing a rapidly growing, symptomatic giant fibroid uterus (which doubled in size in two years). My primary fear wasn't just the potential malignancy, but the risk that surgery might permanently destroy my residual bladder function. Before choosing Dr. Stepp, I consulted with three MIGS specialists and two GYN oncologists. “Dr. Stepp has been incredible to work with. Unlike many other surgeons, Dr. Stepp communicated with us directly from the very beginning. I had a lot of questions and concerns due to this not being my first endometriosis surgery. He was so patient and focused both over email and in our appointments; both of our first 2 appointments were pushing an hour long but I never felt rushed or dismissed. Because our primary goal was fertility and not pain relief, Dr. Stepp recommended a surgery approach that caters to that specifically and is a bit more conservative in nature. He was sure to spell out the pros and cons so we could make an informed decision. Dr. Stepp was also very helpful in working out the practical details of surgery with us. You can choose to have surgery at his clinic or in an Atrium facility, which allows you to bill the hospital fees through in network insurance if desired. He also provided a superbill so that we could submit the surgeon fees for out of network reimbursement. The morning of the surgery, as the surgery team members came in to introduce themselves, they were all so encouraging. The nurse anesthesiologist made a point to tell me, "You have an A+ team today - Dr. Stepp is one of the best." These were Atrium employees, so you know he made an impact and left a positive legacy there! After surgery, we were given a direct line to contact Dr. Stepp if we had any concerns. I emailed him a few post op concerns and was surprised to get a call from him checking on me within a few hours. At our post op appointment, he walked us through a series of surgical photos showing exactly where he worked and what he removed. My experience with chronic health problems and surgeries is unfortunately decently extensive. I have rarely, possibly never, felt so authentically cared for in the medical world as I have with Dr. Stepp. I cannot recommend working with him enough.”

“My experience with Dr. Kevin was exceptional- along with his team. As a potential patient that would be traveling from NW Ohio to Charlotte NC Dr. Kevin was very prompt with me replying to my initial email inquiry along with all my other emails, he responded in a very reasonable amount of time. I felt as if I was his only patient. We were able to schedule a phone consultation within a reasonable amount of time too. During the phone call alone Dr. Kevin answered questions that 22 years of OBGYNs and other doctors were unable to answer (Bartholin's Cyst). The scheduling staff was patient scheduling the procedure and I was able to get on the schedule quickly. My in-person consultation was the day before my scheduled procedure since I would be traveling. Dr. Kevin made me feel extremely comfortable and explained all the options and educated me on each. He was not rushed and would have sat in the room as long as I had questions. Surgery day was a breeze as it was in a surgical suite and not a hospital setting. Once again there was no rush. The nurses and anesthesiologist were all personable and knowledgeable. I knew I had made the right decision by traveling to come to see Dr. Kevin. He is one of only two doctors that treat Bartholin's cysts with CO2 laser. Post surgery he was also very attentive, I sent an email on a Friday evening (as it wasn't an urgent issue that required a phone call) and to my surprise I received an email back that night. I am over a week out and have received communication checking in on how my recovery is going. This is a medical experience like never before. Not only does Dr. Kevin offer a procedure that provides women with an option no one else does that has a high success rate, he and his team offer outstanding service.”

“If there was a 10 stars I'd definitely give it to Dr Stepp and his team, I can't thank him or praise him highly enough. My only regret is I spent 2+ years going through having a Bartholins Cyst infected, drained and control my life before I found him. As a surgeon he is incredibly skilled, removing the entire gland with no external scarring or loss of sensation, even though it was a very complex cyst. But almost more importantly is his genuine compassion, amazing communication and responsiveness. He and his team were there to answer questions and address any concerns both leading up to and after the surgery with genuine care about my physical and mental wellbeing. After being told by gynecologists this was risky and there was no option other than marsupialization (which by the way is total rubbish) I was needless to say nervous. But they put me totally at ease. Whether you're considering this particular surgery or any other at all, don't look any further than Dr Stepp. I am truly grateful for him, he literally has changed my life.”
