Dr. Kevin Stepp is the founder and president of Advanced Pelvic Surgery and Urogynecology of Charlotte — a deliberately smaller, surgeon-led practice for complex pelvic conditions. He is one of fewer than 10 surgeons in the United States with dual-fellowship training in both Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS), and is double board-certified in URPS and OB/GYN.
Trained at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Stepp has performed more than 7,000 complex gynecologic and pelvic surgical procedures over more than 20 years of specialized practice. He is a global pioneer in Single-Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) and a two-time recipient of the AAGL Golden Laparoscope Award.

Dr. Stepp did not leave a successful high-volume academic program because it failed. He built a smaller practice because he wanted patients to have a shorter path to their surgeon—and because he wanted to remain present for the recovery and success stories after surgery.
Dr. Stepp sees patients from Charlotte, the greater Carolinas, and nationwide. A Travel Concierge program assists out-of-state and international patients — including those traveling from Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean — with logistics, scheduling, and recovery coordination.
